2003 SEASON

Mara began the 2003 season by playing only singles.

Victory at the ITF-Ortisei 50,000 dollar tournament, single.

Called to the Fed Cup in April 2003: victory against Sweden.

Qualification to principal list of US Open.

From August resumed playing doubles with the aim of achieving a good rank. Victory in the 75,000-dollar tournament of Denain (Fra).

Victory in the 50,000-dollar tournament of Latina.

Finals at Innsbruck and the 50,000-dollar Bronx.

Second place in the final classification of A2 teams with S. Vito at Tagliamento.

 Finishes on 31/12/2003 at 115th place in the WTA singles ranking and 120th in the doubles.
